Frequently Asked Questions

Ever wonder what you should do before buying a Ferrari to be sure you're doing the right thing? Or have you heard other club members referring to NART, or FoS, or a P-car and wonder what language their speaking? Maybe you just realized there must be a way to turn on your parking lights in your 328 without having the headlights pop up, or you're curious about what company makes the best radar detector, or whether laser jammers are even legal.

Well, most likely you're not alone in asking these questions. And over the years many of these questions have been asked and answered repeatedly in assorted online forums, be they bulletin boards or mailing lists. Sometimes digging through all those resources can be incredibly frustrating. So for your convenience we've tried to compile a list of the most frequently asked questions and to the best of our knowledge, the best answers to those questions.

Several club members over the years have contributed their knowledge and opinions to form this FAQ page in hopes of providing a single resource to answer these commonly asked questions. We make no guarantee as to the validity of any of these answers, and accept no responsibility for any damages incurred after following any of the advice or opinions offered here. But we do feel we've managed to cull the most common answers to some of the most common questions. Use this information as a starting point, and go from there.

Many of the topics have come from the Ferrari List email mailing list, others from Ferrarichat.com web bulletin board. And others have been just gleaned from assorted sources. If you find info that is incorrect or incomplete, please submit suggestions for changes to the webmaster and we'll be sure to review your input and incorporate it.
